I did. I described the city as cold, tired, rigid, bureaucratic and backwards. I also paid several compliments about historical buildings, thriving arts scene and landscape of the area. Here is my overall summary:
Born and raised in Cincinnati. City is steeped in smug self congratulatory denial, race relations are a constant powder keg. The climate is terrible with only extremes (2 seasons summer and winter and nice days able to count on a yearly basis on one hand) Closed minded, repressive, backwards, sports obsessed. Riverfront will never be developed like the Kentucky side with megolithic stadiums taking up the waterfront that look as if designed by Hitler's architect Albert Speer
In the question where would I like to see Cincinnati 5 yrs from now I answered:
"Still 1,000 miles away from me...."

In the question regarding what would improve things I offered constructive criticism of how every project gets bogged down from too many cooks in the kitchen, the county commissioners, the city council, the mayor, the city manager and the state. I said a stronger mayor and no city manager could free decision making procedures. Every project is over budget, takes longer than planned, is not what anyone originally wanted.
In the question what would improve the city overall I said to remove it from the state of Ohio for starters...
What did I appreciate the most and I said Midwest values and what did I appreciate the least: Midwest values taken to extremes.

I got a response from good old Charlie last week telling me he felt the same way about the City. I suggested to him that he should run away to Florida like I did.

Would any of you believe that I blasted them too. Especially the Cincinnati Police Dept. - (the higher ups, that is).
